The Ultimate Gift Guide from Two Unlikely Partners…

For the first time in my retail history, a collaboration is taking place that appears on the surface to be very unpredictable, but says a lot about the current American shopping style.  We women are smarter about our shopping and feel it to be very o.k. to dress “High-Low” as the industry calls the now-happening way of dressing….mixing designer pieces with less expensive touches or for some, vice versa. After all, I know that I feel that the Neiman’s customer and the Target customer are in many cases the same person, including myself.  So it makes sense, the Queen of Chic meets Cheap Chic…got to love it!

In case you’ve missed it, debuting at the exact same time, 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 1 at Neiman Marcus, Neiman Marcus Last Call Studio and Target Stores nationwide, and all of the complimentary websites, 25 designers have designed 2 each of Holiday items for these stores.  The great news is that they will all be housed together in one area within each location……at Neiman’s Houston Galleria, it’s the Third Floor Children’s World. A system has been put into place that will allow 50 people at a time, with colored wrist bands in the store for 15 minutes to shop till they drop within that time limit on an array of items, just cannot exceed 5 pieces per item!  This will continue in groups of 50 until the store’s regularly scheduled opening time of 10:00 a.m. when they will be let into the store and allowed in the designated area on a crowd-control basis.

Does this sound exciting or what???  I’ll be there. It’s a frenzied happening I don’t want to miss.  Following are some of the items that I have selected from the 50 availables…tough to choose.  Shop the moment they’re available. These amazing designer goods will never be found at these value prices again.
