Black is the New Black:   After the dominance of the color Black at Sunday’s Golden Globe Awards, it is fresh on everyone’s mind just what a great color Black is and why so many people are drawn to it as the base of their wardrobe that never goes away.  So  what can I say about this wardrobe essential  other than you should own it in several pieces in your closet at all times. Anyone that knows me knows that I certainly do, sometimes I think to a fault, however, when I sway away from what makes me feel comfortable, it hangs in that 80%, unworn part of my closet.  There are many reasons that black in your wardrobe is a must…..it’s slimming, it’s ageless, it’s always chic and sophisticated, whether worn for day or night and to the office or the gym. My favorite reason for wearing black is that in most cases, the specific garment is not memorable and allows for multiple wears on an often times pricey investment.  Right now, it’s a wardrobe essential in these months that are those in-between-seasons-months….a stand-by you can always count on.

So, if you are in need of some inspiration or a refresher course on why you, like me, own several items shown below…..please scroll through some of our favorite pics.
