While searching through a new shopping market
that came to town, and looking for that next great thing, I came across a collection of feminine, sexy sportswear that was so my kind of thing……………very Donna Karan-like jersey designs. After inquiring, I found that the designer was a Dallas-ite, Abi Ferrin, and that her collection was not just about great looking clothes but is all about “Fashion with Purpose”!

Abi Ferrin is first and foremost a brand that is eco and socially conscious, and whose motto is “Fashion with Freedom and Purpose”. The designer has developed the Freedom Project, where product sales help rescue women and children from oppressive environments worldwide and are currently very active in Nepal and Cambodia. A plus for this collection is that all styles look great on women of every size, shape and ethnicity.

This past September, Abi Ferrrin was invited to show her Spring ’09 Collection at Fashion Week in NYC for the first time. Response was amazing and immediately, celebs such as Kelly Ripa, Vanessa Williams and Carrie Underwood were being photographed in Abi’s designs.
