Tiffany Masterson and her Drunk Elephant Skincare

unnamedTiffany Masterson, a Houston native, has worked in the beauty industry in various positions from Director of Communications to a partner in a niche, successful skin care company. Her quest for the perfect skin care solution seemed endless, until she was presented with an opportunity to collaborate with family members in selling a bar cleanser made primarily from  Malaysian clay.  That is when we first met and I became acquainted with Tiffany and her passion for skin care. In the years that have followed she has done much research  and has spoken to both varied professionals in the skin care field to customers all over the country that confided in her on what was working for them and what they were looking for in the perfect skin care solutions for them.

After a telephone conference with a beauty director of a national publication, Tiffany was inspired by the famous expression that “less is more” so she set out to really learn about ingredients that would be effective in accomplishing this for her.  She wanted people to understand that the answer to healthy skin was in keeping it simple. Important to her was that she wanted not one ounce of fragrance in any of her products and all ingredients should smell simply like what they are.

The name Drunk Elephant is rooted in a myth that says that elephants love to eat the fruit that has fallen from the Marula trees. Once eaten, fermentation occurs inside their very large tummies and the elephant becomes drunk

In closing, I asked Tiffany what was her greatest goal in developing this skin care collection. Her response was, “I want to treat the issue and not cover it up. As someone that has never worn make-up, nor has my Mom, I was raised that my goal is to treat the skin so that BARE FACE is the way to go. Let healthy skin shine through.” She admits to adding a touch of color (pink) to her creams when she feels the urge to have a little color on her cheeks.

Sloan/Hall, the only  store in Houston carrying the line, has been very successful with selling the brand with some items even being sold out!  Bestsellers include the JuJu Bar, C-Firma Day Serum and of course the Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil.  Store owner Shannon Hall says he also uses all of the products and is a forever fan of the skincare line. None of these products will break the bank with all under $90!

Below, we have taken each of her products and listed them in the order that she directed us to apply them. However, she has said that each customer (feminine or masculine) should use the products as they work best for their face.  Always remember, the Marula oil is the key to it all…..used alone or with other products, that is the one item you must try first when you visit her collection at Sloan Hall or check it out online.

Get your hands on these amazing products while they are still in stock!
