ESCAPE Resource Center and this fundraising event’s founding chairs, Joan Schnitzer-Levy and Co-Chair, Gerald Franklin, with award winning song man, Steve Tyrell as their honoree and evening’s entertainment at their annual Celebrity Serve Fundraising Event
Joan Schnitzer-Levy did it again! Another fun-filled evening of local celebrities and social set gather at Hotel ZaZa’ Museum District location for the 37th annual sell-out benefit for ESCAPE Resource Center. Greeting the close to 300 guests was also dinner chair Kim Padgett who along with Joan and co-founder, Gerald Franklin, raised over $300,000 towards the mission of ESCAPE Family Resource Center to keep their vital programs in nearly 80 locations every year and end the cycle of abuse and neglect for children.
The Special Honoree this year was Grammy award winner Steve Tyrell who performed several songs for the crowd. Steve, so taken by Joan’s comments at the previous night’s dinner of ESCAPE and what is was accomplishing, felt compelled to partner with his promoters of his Tuscany, Montevido experience this coming October, to add a surprise live auction item for the lucky highest bidder. What a great prize for that winner to be able to experience a few days during Steve’s performance there visiting with him and taking in the beauty of those fabulous Tuscan countrysides and charming villages!
The evening was lead by Ernie Manouse and the participating celebrities joining in the fun were Lara Bell, Johnny Bravo, Andy Cerota, Michael Chabala, Amber Elliott, Shara Fryer, Michael Garfield, Jeff Gremillion, Courtney Zubowski Haas, Steve Johnson, Todd Ramos, Roseann Rogers, Robert Sakowitz and Cleverley Stone.
