It all began as one of the Lindsays, our town’s Ms. Radcliffe, a hat lover, needed some way to carry her prized accessory with her as she traveled the world. The two women accepted the challenge and were able to elevate the travel experience while simultaneously solving packing problems. Wanting only the highest quality, these ladies traveled to Tuscany where the cases are handmade by families who have mastered that craft of taking the highest quality leather and turning out beautiful products generation after generation….everything from shoes, bags, clothing etc.
The cases are available in two sizes….The Poppy and the Mini Poppy, ranging in price from $590 to $990. The Poppy is the large case and is definitely meant for travel. It can carry up to four hats, a laptop, sunglasses and accessories…..clearly the chicest carry-on you will see on any plane or boat. The Mini Poppy is a small hard-case bag that can be used as an everyday carryall. It can hold a phone, wallet, make-up, keys and various other small items. Both versions have shoulder straps and are lined in luxurious poly-silk interior fabrics. The mini also comes in an array of fabrics and colors from metallic, embossed snakeskin, embossed python and textured leather.
