Fashion’s Night of Fall Trends as Presented by Neiman Marcus

NM_Fall_1One of the first things that everyone wants to know in approaching a new season is what are key colors: for NM, it’s about  full-bodied reds that run the spectrum of this fabulous hue; winter white that for many has made this glorious non-color a year-round favorite and army green/olive, a color that is showing up everywhere for the gals and the guys as we transition into Fall 2015.

Fall is arriving right now…

Hard to believe, I know, but summer is over with in the fashion world…..school is starting, temps are dropping ever so slightly and the attitude is changing quickly as we approach Labor Day, the jumping off point that says to us clearly that Fall has arrived.

Always first to make its mark on what’s newest for the coming season, Neiman Marcus hosted all of us, fashion-hungry, waiting to learn what they feel to be Fall’s biggest fashion call-outs.  We were certainly not disappointed, after all who doesn’t love Fall clothes and eagerly awaits its arrival to the stores.

Full-bodied REDS

As a color idea, it runs the entire spectrum of this fabulous hue from the boldest and brightest siren red to the warmest full-bodied bordeaux. This electric color adds pop to any wardrobe and has certainly won “neutral” status as a color that can go with just about anything to liven up your closet.

Winter White

It has become evident that white has grown in importance season after season as the freshest approach to dressing for any occasion or any season.  For Fall, the brightness of stark summertime white warms up, making this favorite non-color a true sophisticate worn alone or always a great idea to team up with black, grey, camel or other neutrals.

Folklorica

Hand-crafted, artisan details make this trend that keeps evolving and updating itself from season to season, continues to grow as a way that so many of us are choosing to dress. Pattern mixing, warms colors, fringe, embroidery, patchwork and touches of fur detailing all give this trend such global popularity.

Newest approaches to Eveningwear

Have fun with evening is the message from the Fashion world these days.  An evening gown topped off with a fringe leather jacket or an addition of black skater shoes (seen here but you will be seeing more from us on this growing popular shoe for all occasions), makes a long, black ensemble one of street wear’s newest looks.  The message is anything goes for evening as long as you dress it with a sense of playfulness and don’t take it all too seriously.  Just consider the gown and the audience when choosing just the right way to pull it all together for a night on the town.

The Feet Own It for the Season…So Much Newness for Fall

How excited was I to leave this event knowing that there are so many options out there in footwear.  I have always believed that nothing ‘dates’ your outfit like outdated shoes and in reverse, nothing can make you look new and more with it than sporting the newest looks in footwear.  Whether you choose the colored or novelty bootie, the chunky heel, the skater or fashion sneaker or even the newest looks in pumps….the choices this season are endless and ever-so-exciting!
