What better way to enjoy and celebrate Taco Tuesday than with a tequila-based drink,  since it is after all, National Tequila Day!!  We’ve put together a list of a bunch of great places for you to check out their  margaritas, cocktails, etc!

Abuelo’s 

  • Hand-crafted Margaritas for $6.95 all day!

Ambrosia

  • Shere Khan  – Lanuzal blanco, lime, ginger beer and blood orange soda, just $8 during daily happy hours, 5-7pm Sunday-Thursday and 9-11pm Friday and Saturday.
  • Long regarded as one of the best margaritas in Houston, Chef Robert Del Grande’s RDG Margarita ($13) at Cafe Annie is crafted sans sugar — reducing the probability of a hangover. The potent formula simply combines fresh lime juice, Cointreau, premium silver tequila, and ice. Lime wedges and kosher salt finish off the drink.

FM KItchen

  • FM Margarita – Luna Azul Tequila, Agavo, Limo, Triple Sec

  • Get a taste of Texas at the Armadillo Palace. At a place known to celebrate all things Texas, there’s nothing more Texas than their two summertime classics: the Paloma ($9), a classic combination of tequila, grapefruit, soda, and lime and Damn Goode Margarita ($9), 100% Agave Tequila Blanco, lime, orange liqueur served frozen or rocks
  • Skinny Margarita- Patron tequila, agave nectar, and fresh lime juice $14
  • Blood Orange Margarita ($9.5): Blood orange puree, lemon, lime, tequila, chili salt rim. Available at Local Foods Downtown.

Molina’s

  • Margaritas – 100% agave tequila, Triple sec and fresh lime juice, served frozen or on the rocks, they’ll be on special for $6 ALL DAY. 
  • Watermelon Fresca – As a nod to aguas frescas at Mexican mercados, this one mixes Sauza Blue 100% agave tequila, fresh lime juice, agave nectar and watermelon puree, topped with Topo Chico. 
  • Lime in the Coconut – A tropical, creamy blend of Sauza Blue 100% agave tequila, lime juice, agave nectar and coconut puree.

Ninfa’s

  • The Original Ninfarita– made with 100% agave silver tequila. Other margaritas include: Mango Habañero, Cucumber Mint, and more!

Pastry War

  • Can’t go wrong here, margarita flavors include: mango + chamoy, strawberry + balsamic, and more!

Pico’s

  • Because one day isn’t enough, they celebrate for an entire week! July 23rd-July 27th
  • Margaritas include: El Jefe, The Noir, The Noble Rita, and more!
  • Lonesome Dove cocktail ($12): tequila cabeza, del maguey mezcal, hibiscus, tamarind, lime, grapefruit soda

  • Tango & Malbec’s bar program also embraces all-things-Malbec with specialty cocktails such as their Malberita — the restaurant’s riff on a traditional margarita.
  • Malberita – $12 ($6 at happy hour) Don Nacho Silver Tequila, Trivento Malbec, Cointreau, Lime Juice

  • Maybe Memphis, Maybe Mexico ($9) for National Tequila Day. Heir spicy Paloma – Puebla Viejo Tequila, Fresh Lime, Grapefruit Soda, Spicy Stuff, Pinch of Salt.

  • Torched Paloma  smoky mezcal, torched grapefruit and fresh lime, with grapefruit soda and a chili-salt dipped rim.
  • Jump into National Tequila Day with Truck Yard’s Twisted Marg ($8) craft draft cocktail.

Yauatcha 

  • A spicy rendition of a classic, Yauatcha’s Szechuan Margarita ($14) is made with Thai chili-infused blanco tequila, Ancho Verde, Szechuan aloe syrup, and finished with lime.
