As I promised in Saturday’s posting, I am continuing to update everyone on what is happening post-Harvey in the Retail and Dining world around us. Many locals have been jumping through hoops to be here for us. Many that I have been talking to as I began calling were genuinely eager  to help our city with donation collections, give back a portion of their sales to local charities and genuinely rally from the heart to help fulfill our needs……truly once again another group is showing that we are truly #houstonstrong!

I am attempting to try to do my part to simplify your lives by sharing with you what is open and what is about to come as I hear daily from these businesses. My goal in doing this is also to encourage each of you to do your best to shop local, a great concept but especially important right now as so many of our friends are experiencing some difficult times either personally or with a business that might have been effected by Harvey. By shopping or dining out you can also contribute to the financial strains on this city and give yourself a pleasant break at the same time!

  1. Rozy……
I am in love with Steve’s version of “Houston”! I’m downloading it so I can play it a lot. Big hug to him for this gift to his home town. Tragic as Harvey has been, it’s made me so proud to be a third generation Houstonian!
Are you keeping up with Pat & Rob? I can’t believe they are up there in gorgeous BC & everything is on fire. Meanwhile Irma has turned & seems to be headed for Tampa. Good thing Matthew is tall since he’s house sitting. Rob said he seemed to be having a bad weather week…LOL.
Always love My Red Glasses. Hugs to Alan. XXX Peg

    1. Thanks Peg….I think he did a great job, it was truly from the heart! I have been following all of the goings on in florida since our Crystin lives in Jacksonville and had to evacuate….looks like Tampa came out better than expected! xoxo Roz
