Not To Be Missed….An Evening With Lela Rose Benefiting Recipe for Success

Lela-invitationThe tradition of Fashion benefiting a great cause carries on with the upcoming appearance of Designer and Texas native, Lela Rose, who will be presenting her Spring 2018, buy now collection at Neiman Marcus, benefiting Recipe for Success.

This signature event for Recipe for Success, that has been known as Dress for Dinner now for over a decade was begun by RFS founder, Gracie Cavnar in conjunction with many of her organization’s supporters, Jeff Shell and your truly amongst them, that were also lovers of fashion.  It became a way of relating fashion and food, two of life’s more popular experiences into what has become this successful event.

This year, Jeff in partnership with his sister, Ally Shell-van Koolwijk, will be hosting this series of events again.  The featured designer at the Neiman Marcus runway show will be the very popular, Texas native, Lela Rose who will be bringing her Spring 2018 fashions from the runways of New York to Neiman’s. The evening, beginning with a cocktail reception and runway show beginning at 6:30 that will follow with a Q & A with Houston Chronicle’s Fashion Editor, Joy Sewing. For those that wish a little more time to visit with Lela, there will be a VIP dinner to close out the evening in Neiman’s Mariposa restaurant, crafted by the talented chef of A Fare Extraordinaire, Ryan Bouilet.  Dinner patrons will also receive a signed copy of Lela’s first book, published by Rizzoli in 2015, which I also own titled,  Prêt-à-Party, hosted by RFS Board member, Stacey Swift of Neiman Marcus.  Tickets begin at $150 and up for the show and $500 for the VIP dinner.  Get your tickets today for this February 28 event and be prepared for a great evening of food, talk and fashion.

About Lela Rose:  Lela Rose, who today lives in New York City with her husband and two children, was born and raised in Texas and attended college in Colorado, where she studied fine arts. Following graduation, Rose enrolled at Parson’s School of Design in New York City to pursue her love of fashion design, and later went on to work with esteemed designers Richard Tyler and Christian Francis Roth. After honing her love of couture fabric and fanatic appreciation of detail, Rose’s vision and passion compelled her to debut her signature Lela Rose collection in 1998. In Fall 2006, Rose debuted the Lela Rose bridal collection, and following the success of that line, introduced an exclusive bridesmaid line.
