Museum of Fine Arts Houston Debuts It’s Very Own Italian Cafe/Coffee Bar….MFA Cafe

MFA Cafe; Photo by Wilson ParishThe new restaurant at MFAH, The MFA Cafe, features works of art from the Museum’s collection that reflect Italian art and culture and is configured with a bar and three distinct seating areas, in the basement of Audrey Jones Beck building.

At the same time that the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, opened to the public, their newly renovated MFA Shop upstairs, they were also opening the doors to their MFA Cafe in the lower level of the Audrey Jones Beck building.  For this new cafe, proprietors, Paolo Fronza and Matteor Alessandri, formerly of Felinni Caffe in Rice Village, combines the concepts of a museum cafe and the coffee bars of their native Italy, offering guest an array of light, Northern-inspired Italian fare. Menu includes pastas, salads, soups and freshly pressed panini plus a Euro-style coffee bar.  Makes for a great, convenient and tasty break for the many Museum visitors.
