It has been a beautifully bright spring and summer from pastels to gorgeous patterns – it might not be easy for everyone to revert into the basic typical fall colours such as greys and blacks (even though you truly can never go wrong with either!). However, this fall shades of red are where its at, from bright pillar box red to Crimson to wine to burgundy.  I’m sure you can imagine MyRedGlasses delight in this ‘must-wear-fall-colour’! How are we wearing this colour trend…hint, this must-have purchase will be one of the newest add-ons to your wardrobe for the season.

Blazers have been stolen from the male fashion wardrobe, used previously only for business use until breaking into the fashion world years ago. They are now a staple item in our closet. Great for either adding a spice of colour to your work wear, during the day or evening outfits. I have too many blazers to name – it’s a great alternative to a jacket for the winter months keeping us warm but still keeping on trend.

A classic black blazer is too easy for us MRG gals, so we are following the bolder approach which we have seen all over the runways and it’s a red option.  We have too many options of this gorgeous look to fit any body shape this fall. Our top tip, ignore the under top and style your outfit like your blazer is your top! Use statement accessories to pull it all together, but the add-on blazer in this bold color is your key focus this fall!

Classic Approach

Colder seasons see us relying heavily on this classic style of blazer which is most universal and practical for what we need in a fashionable addition to our daily attire. These can be easily combined with other items of clothing to finish off the look. We are seeing the classic masculine shape, which paired with a soft skirt or over a dress, takes this into a more feminine display.

How Long This Fall

As for the length, this fall anything goes! We are seeing an array of lengths on the runways both short and long blazers. Either length it will look great with pants, cute boyish shorts and dresses.  Play around with the different lengths.

Peplum Style

This is my favorite style, especially for work. It looks beautiful due to the prominent waist which hides all sorts of imperfections you don’t want anyone else to see! It gives you a sleek feminine look easily.

What About The Sleeves

Maybe outside the normal sleeve length, we are noticing more unusual sleeves making a huge impact this fall. Some opted for short sleeves, others gave them an unusual shape, while others have excluded altogether. Experiment with this and have fun with the different styles.

Is My Blazer Too Big

The oversized style is back with vengeance this fall.  This is more of a risky piece which not a lot of ladies could easily pull off. Great advantages of this look is it looks great over shorts and jeans, bringing together a casual look but adding a touch of sophistication or over a maxi dress it would help tone it down – either way this look has a place in our closets!

STREET WITH LOVE

I hope this gives you all inspiration to go off and purchase a beautiful red blazer for your wardrobe, as this will be the item you are going to wear all fall into winter – which we can guarantee. The main thing to take into consideration except for the style – you need to pick a style that you will wear – but also the colour. If you aren’t ready for the brightest red, maybe you are like me and too shy to stand out with such a colour then tone it down with Burgundy shades.

Enjoy experimenting with this – feel free to send in pictures of your favorite red blazers you have recently purchased!
