Many of the forecasts for Spring 2013 color claimed Orange to be the “IT” color of the season. This Pantone hue, Tangerine, has since gotten much competition from Lemon Zest as well, and I prefer to think of this duet as one idea….Citrus. This bold, vibrant and saturated color works great for those courageous gals that like head-to-toe color. However, I like it best, which is a personal thing for me, is as a pop of color paired with white or navy or color blocked with another bright hue, such as yellow, turquoise or even hot pink!
Accessories, we all know, are a great way to work any trend into your wardrobe. So, an orange handbag or shoe works with just about anything, even black, a combo which we all strayed away from in the past….feeling it to be just a little too much of a Halloween duo, but has become quite accepted in modern dressing.
The one thing that designers, retailers and the customers purchases that prove the validity of a trend, have all signed on is that Orange, is the warmest, boldest way to usher in the warm weather months ahead.
