Rise Soufflés and More

I’ve already been twice, and I’ll likely be back next week! Rise recently opened in Houston (its first location is in Dallas) upstairs at BLVD Place, and I can’t get enough of it.

If you’re unfamiliar with Rise, it is, quite simply, a soufflé restaurant. First off, did you know there are many other versions of soufflés other than a chocolate one? Well, I didn’t know that until I went to Rise. Here you can find savory soufflés (think spinach, ham and cheese, southwest chicken, among many others), as well as the more well known sweet ones, such as chocolate, bread pudding, dark chocolate mint, and many more. Along with soufflés you’ll find various entrees, appetizers, and my favorite…cheese. They have a cheese cart unlike any I’ve ever seen. And their wine selection is fantastic, as well.

Aside from their delicious food and drinks, they have a little retail space up front, which I couldn’t get over! They sell everything you see on the restaurant tables (the cloth napkins, plates, cheese cutter, bread cutter, and so on), along with books and lots of little Parisian inspired trinkets.

Next time you’re in the mood for wine and cheese (and possibly some gift shopping!), head right over to Rise; you’ll love it.
