It has become clear that sunglasses are much more than just an aviator anymore, these days, sunglasses are taking all shapes and sizes by storm. Whether they are big and oversized, small, square, round, or anything in between, this Spring, sunglasses are all the rage. It has become very clear to the fashionably stylish gals that no longer is one pair of sunglasses enough. This hot fashion accessory is so in-style all year round that a wardrobe that includes newest trendy tiny’s, colors, embellishments and even sporty are a must for a fashionable Spring/Summer. Tiny Sunglasses
A fairly new trend is the tiny sunglass. These sunglasses can turn any simple outfit to a “model-off-duty” look, making anybody look effortlessly chic. Many designers have released their versions of this look, but Gucci and Prada have made the most waves in the fashion world with their take on the trend. More affordable brands such as Le Specs and Quay Australia have also nailed this look at more affordable pricing.
Oversized Cat-Eye
The oversized cat eye sunglass is not a new idea, however they are really making a comeback this spring. These are a staple accessory because not only can they transform any outfit, but they also look good on any face shape, which is not a common theme for most sunglasses. Céline is notorious for their oversized sunglasses, so it is no surprise that they do a fantastic oversized cat eye look as well. Other brands that have done a nice job with this trend include Prada, Balenciaga, Tom Ford, Dolce & Gabana, and Quay Australia.
Embellished/Pattern
The embellished/pattern sunglass look have taken over the spring/summer ’18 runways adding a pop of flare to not only the typical and casual sunglasses, but to the entire outfit as a whole. Out with the old and in with the new, it’s all about going bold or going home! This trend is very fun, playful, and extra which is sure to catch everyone’s eyes. No wonder it’s been making its way on many of this season’s designer runways as it is a true showstopper.
Color
Fashion for Spring/Summer is all about COLOR this season so it is only logical that a fashion accessory like sunglasses would be sure to follow. Within color there are a few fashion stories to tell…..Bold Color, Pastel Color and of course the number one Non-Color Color of any season in my books, White! Color is here this season in great looking frames and/or lenses…..a great outfit completer!
Rounds
Rounds are not the newest trend-kid on the block this season. They were all the rage last summer and in fact, introduced to me by Prada and very much dominant during my shopping tours of Italy last season. However, they still look new this season and all of you, Harry Potter fans out there should have a special yearning for these fashion shades!
