A TABLE Full of Good Eats…

Table, the restaurant that has very recently opened in BLVD Place, has had my attention for some time. I walked the planks of this “work in progress” as it was being remodeled back in February for a tasting. I visited and tasted for its Grand Opening only recently and now this Saturday night, with friends, we visited it for the first time as actual guests of the restaurant.  The one thing that remained consistent  in each phase that I engaged in, was the high taste and bold flavors of the food.  There were certain items like the Tuna Carpaccio Flatbread that I tasted all along the way and it is still as delicious and enjoyable as the first day I tasted it.  Chef Pucha, has created and maintained an unusually creative menu in food combinations, tastefulness and presentation.

About the TABLE Chef

So here it is….nestled amongst high rises and the busy buzz of the Uptown District lying in  the revived former Philippe Restaurant + Lounge, now under the name of Table. After the departure of French trained chef, Philippe Schmit last September, the restaurant underwent major changes, eventually closing and re-opening with a new name, a new concept, and a newly promoted executive chef, Manuel Pucha. The concept of Table is to make enjoyable food in a lively ambience that inspires dialogue and conversation around the table. That, it most definitely accomplished last Saturday night as we had the greatest time just hopping from table to table as the restaurant was filled with so many people that we know and like…..the air was festive and it was such fun!

About the TABLE Menu

Among the many delicious bites offered at Table are things such as Ponzu Crab and Tuna Carpaccio Flatbread, Short Rib Osso Bucco, and Duck Breast served in a smoked tea infused broth. Not only does Table offer a delicious food menu, but their drink menu is quite impressive as well. From Cucumber Rosemary Lemonade to wines from Germany and South Africa, there’s something to please every palate. To finish off your meal you can opt for an ode to breakfast with the Pancakes and Bacon or try something unique like the Dr. Pepper Cake or the Green Tea Panna Cotta. Whatever your choices in any category, rest assured it will not be a bad one.

Here are some of the foods, we particularly enjoyed on our visits…..
