This Week is All About Fashion Designer Appearances and Runway Shows….

What a busy time we’re having right now. So many things every night that I feel like I’m  missing as many as I make it to, but this past week was highlighted by some pretty big events…..which means lots and lots of picture

Jonathan Adler V.I.P. Opening Party…New Store at West Ave.

I’m crazy about his faces….from the smallest salt & pepper shaker to the wonderfully scented candles; plus there is so much more in this collection, vases and lamps are divine.

I was smitten by the needlepoint sunglasses and change holders (note the red glasses sunglasses holder). Also, it was super model Linda Evangelista who once said, “I don’t get out of bed for less than $10,000″, which Adler has captured in his bright needlepoint pillow.

Houston is first out of town Adler store to have a Gift Bar, filled with great unique items….and of course, the designer and myself, cozy and color coordinated, as pointed out by Jonathan himself…..we both love RED!

St. Thomas High School Mother’s Club Luncheon & Fashion Show at R.O.C.C., presented by Neiman Marcus….

Stacey Swift teaches celebrity model, Steve Tyrell, how he is to walk the runway;  Steve and STHS Mother’s Club President, Nancy Ladd dancing their way down the catwalk, Steve doing his thing on the catwalk!

STHS Seniors finale wearing the caps from the schools they will be attending…fun!; Steve, President of STHS, Rev. Kevin Storey,  and yours truly at evening cocktail party at Turner home.

Steve with all members of the Mandola food clan…Vincent, Frankie B.; staffer, Mandola catering; Rosie Carrabba; and Tony Mandola….at Turner home.

Steve with Terrie-Hogan Turner, event chair and Mike Turner at cocktail party hosted at Turner’s lovely new River Oaks home;

Local Designer, Jonathan Blake, Fashion Runway Show and Presentation of Fall 2013 Collection…

One-shoulder black jersey day-into-evening dress;  Silver perforated leather long coat (maybe my favorite piece!) over black pant outfit.

Bright Red jersey swing dress and black suede pencil skirt and tailored blouse with red pop handbag…definitely my style!

Show-ending sunning black mermaid gown with lots of black soft ruffles; presentation and thank-yous by Jonathan, et al at end or the show

Guests included another local designer, Amir Taghi and friend and front row cheering squad, Roseann Rogers, Wendi Reeves and Roz Pactor.  Also there, the Tinkle family, Carolyn Farb, Jo Furr, Zarena Boyce, Theresa Rovere, Leisa Holland Nelson, Scott Evans, Joy Sewing, Jeff Gremillion, Peter Remington and many others.  Such a great night!
