On Wednesday night I had the pleasure of joining Roz for Women of Wardrobe and TOOTSIES annual Summer Soiree, that ends that season and says ‘welcome to Fall’. Not only was this event for a great cause, creating an exciting atmosphere of very well dressed people, but we were able to take a peek (first in the world I might add…) of Rachel Zoe’s Fall 2015 collection.

Here is a little bit about WOW if you don’t already know about this fantastic organization – Women of Wardrobe (WOW) is a group of young professional women whose mission is to support Dress for Success Houston, which was cofounded by Nancy Levicki who is now being joined by her daughter, Lauren Levicki Courville, through volunteerism and fundraising.
On the night we were lucky enough to sit down one-on-one with jewelry designer Claudia Lobao (interview coming to MRG soon!). Her collection is gorgeous; it was very me, especially the gold side! Of course I had to make a purchase. Claudia’s hand crafted pieces were too beautiful to not have something to take home and her prices are always right on target. I chose a gold pair of hoop earrings, very reasonably priced.

Throughout the event, models stood around the room on podiums showing off the subtle classic style Rachel Zoe’s collection has unfolded into for fall. It’s full of structured flattering styles using black or khaki colours, which sets the tone for the collection.

Rachel’s favorite look from her collection is the Brady Dress, classic black with gold buttons down the side, very nautical chic paired with the matching jacket. That jacket will be the perfect staple wardrobe item to carry you through fall.
Rachel’s fall collection caught inspiration from the 60’s but looking at all the pieces you can very much see Rachel’s style. This collection has seen her moving away from her usual Bohemian style. Moving into fall means tailored coats, wool suiting and lots of layering. We love the bold simplicity of the looks.
My favorite dress was worn beautifully by Rachel’s sales rep, Anna Boggs. A parachute satin dress with petal finishing at the bottom, and trumpet sleeves, very sleekly cut. This has been added to my wish list!
The event chairs were Shannon Addison (she was wearing the McKell dress with Rachel Zoe’s right hand gal) Kendall Hanno and Maria Vilchez Lowrey. We had the pleasure of meeting with the events emcee and a co-founder of Women of Wardrobe’s Mia Gradney from KHOU-11 TV.

We dined on tasty wine, delicious cider by Leprechaun, I had to stop myself from eating everything laid out, but my favorite tasting plates were from Harwood Grill. To top it off, desert of gelato and sorbet by sweet cups and of course, had to stop by and see Lisa Pound and her healthy goodies from Green Plate Foods, all in their smart new packaging and branding. We also had to taste the delish Mexican meatballs, provided by Armando’s and also some delights from Paul’s Kitchen…..lots of good tastings! Also for the ladies, were complimentary blow-out gift card coasters from Drybar and some charm necklaces from Rachel Zoe in the many goodie bags that were handed out!

I walked away with the first look at Rachel Zoes collection for Fall, perfect ‘very-me’ pair of Claudia Lobao gold earrings, tummy full from tasting all the amazing pieces and feeling blissfully on top of the world after being surrounded by beautiful designer pieces for the night and mingling. It was very successful and for an amazing cause!
