Yauatcha Houston’s first restaurant to claim an association to a Michelin starred restaurant group, Hakkasan Group, in SoHo district of London, has officially opened its doors last night for locals to savor and enjoy.  It is located in a Galleria standalone building, the jewel box, as it is known and sits next to the exclusive boutique, The Webster.  As an all-day dining experience, the Chinese Dim Sum Tea House concept includes dim sum with a contemporary influence, work dishes, tea, and cocktails.

The authentic dim sum dishes and the contemporary interior that is influenced by the five colors of feng shui elements-blue, yellow, red, black, and white, -perfectly balances out each other to create a harmonious environment.

The culinary experience from the moment you walk in is transcendent, you’ll have to see it to believe it!

One of many aesthetics of the interior is the full view of the kitchens. It allows passer-by to witness their dishes be prepared mindfully and with care.

At first glance of the menu, you’ll be at a loss for words. Every dish and ingredient has been chosen with thought and intention. Speciality items on the menu include dishes such as Scallop Shu Mai and Jasmine tea-smoked pork ribs.

Scallop Shu Mai :  Wheat flour dumpling  with pawn, scallop, and garnished with silky orange tobiko caviar.

Jasmine Tea-Smoked Pork Ribs : Aromatic Chinese Style Pork ribs simmered in a rice wine sauce, has hints of cardamom and ginger, and smoked over Jasmine tealeaves. A treat for your all your senses!

Yauatcha’s attention to details is absolutely superb! Just when you think your dining experience is over, you now have a beautiful selection of pastries to choose from. All patisseries items are handmade in-house with the four seasons of the year taken into consideration. From petits gateaux to macarons to the Tropical dome (made with coconut dacquise and pineapple), you are sure to find a dessert most fitting for your sweet palate.
