Time to Say ‘Au Revoirar’ as Paris Fashion Week Comes to a Close

Paris Fashion Week Valentino brought all the sparkle to the city of lights for their Spring/Summer 2019 collection. Paris Fashion Week wraps up Fashion Month for 2018, so time to start the countdown for next year!

And just like that our favorite month of the season has wrapped up and left us with dazzling daydreams of flowing fabrics and sparkling sequins. While we don’t have an excuse to tune out of our daily lives for 20 minutes to watch live-streams of luxurious runways anymore, it doesn’t mean we have to stop obsessing over the photos! With Paris holding down the fort for a large number of designer faves, its no question why it was so hard to whittle down the list to just our top ten favorite shows!

From Balenciaga‘s twilight-zone “video tunnel” runway to the bright white catwalk that Valentino‘s darling designs floated down, our heads were left spinning (in a totally awe-filled, heart eyes type-of-way)! Givenchy gave us pleats and sparkles in inspired designs that have become so terrifically typical of creative director, Claire Waight Keller. Haute couture kings Giambattista Valli and Elie Saab both transformed their whimsy works of art to modern ready-to-wear collections in their classic fairytale fashions.

Every year the crowd is just as excited at Chanel not only to see the pieces that make their way down the runway, but also to see the runway itself! This year Karl Lagerfeld proved that life really is a beach…complete with working waves, real sand and Baywatch icon, Pamela Anderson front row! Shortly after, Miuccia Prada exhibited once again why Miu Miu is THE brand for the mature girly-girl- showcasing fashions with modern and sophisticated silhouettes embellished with bows and flowers galore!

Paris Fashion Week also hosted some friends from down the road. British designer,  Stella McCartney, showcased a striking collection wearing two hats for the first time in 21 years as both creative director and sole owner of the brand! Fellow British brand, Alexander McQueen, headed up by Sarah Burton also put on an eye-catching show. With equal parts leather and lace, the audience never knew what to expect next, and was dazzled with an elegantly edgy runway show!
