Not So Basic Booties

Instagram

I know it’s hard to believe, but summer is winding down. I feel like just yesterday we were talking about summer accessories, and now we’re here and the kids are going back to school, and fall is very much upon us. Julie here today to talk about my personal favorite type of shoe, one that I tend to wear year round, the bootie. I absolutely love booties. I’ve actually worn them countless times this summer with dresses, but of course, it’s primarily a fall and winter shoe.

When thinking booties, you might typically think black, tan, or grey, but there are so many gorgeous options out there that are far from neutral and very much fabulous. And this season we’re seeing an abundance of them out there, which we’re pretty excited about.

Whether embellished, colorful, adorned, textured, with heel details, or all of the above, there are lots of ways to wear a not so basic pair of booties, and below we’ve pulled together lots of inspiration for you in how to do so.
