Who doesn’t love a good coffee shop? And while we’re not opposed to the Starbucks of the world, there’s something special about an independent coffee shop, and Houston has plenty to choose from. A cozy and spacious spot, you’ll get delicious (and beautiful) coffee, healthy juices, scrumptious food (their avocado toast is my favorite), and an amazing happy hour.
Not only is the coffee and food (their breakfast tacos!) incredible, but you’ll love the atmosphere at this hip spot in town.
I absolutely love this place to get work done. I’ll get a cozy spot upstairs and if the afternoon calls for it, I might even order some wine (although their coffee is fantastic, of course), and their patio is great when the weather cools down.
This cute spot is exceptional for not only their fresh roasted coffee, but their loose leaf teas and fresh pastries, as well. It gets busy, but it’s worth it!
Tons of coffee choices in this shop, and it’s fun to look at the art-filled walls while sipping your java and having a light snack.
This is definitely one we frequent often due to its close proximity to the MRG office. We love their coffee, their breakfast, their lunch, and their happy hour. It’s a cozy place in the heart of Rice Village.
It’s a large place so you won’t have to wait for a table, and the coffee is top notch, and their food menu is extensive. We find ourselves here quite a bit, as well.
This place not only serves fabulous coffee, wine, and snacks, but because it’s an extension of the Eurostone Marble Company you’ll find beautiful marble throughout the space.

Tons of indoor and outdoor seating, their brunch is a favorite of mine, and their pastries are pretty divine (try the chocolate croissant!). It has a great vibe and it’s definitely one of the best.
