In 5000 square feet of donated space in Uptown Park an army of volunteers (pun intended) have sorted, priced and merchandised racks and racks of fabulous clothes.  This year they were fortunate to receive a large donation of NEW (tags still on) merchandise from European designer Liebeskind (you can find these accessories at Nordstrom Rack and Anthropologie) and also a stash of brand new JBrand Jeans. Plus all the generous donations from some famous Houston closets including gowns, shirts, skirts, suits, pants, jeans, handbags and the ever popular shoes.

Money raised from the fashion show and showroom sales helps support the work of The Salvation Army Houston.  The Auxiliary sponsor initiatives include: Family Residence which helps transition homeless women and their families back into the community, Sally’s House which is a residence for women in transition, The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Clubs which provides character development, learning opportunities and musical training to children and The Salvation Army Angel Tree which provides clothing and toys to children and senior citizens at Christmas.

Making it all possible are Reflection on Style co-chairs Stick Delaup and Rhonda Jones along with Chic Boutique co-chairs Gayle Eury & Darlene Clark and Chic Boutique Showroom co-chairs Dev Stern and Leigh Newton-Alvarez.  If your closet is in need of a good spring cleaning they will be accepting donations at the Chic Boutque store location (1131-08 Uptown Park Blvd) until next Thursday, 4/5.
