Trend Report from Italy: Fall has arrived and we should all be ready to dress the part from the feet up! Nothing sets the tone of the season and/or dates your look more than your chosen footwear. After just returning from Italy, mostly in Tuscany and Florence, specifically, the shopping capital of that region, Shoe Trends were apparent everywhere. The weather was unseasonably warm, so boots on the streets were a little more limited but the stores and the windows were full of tall boots being showcased from rugged to dress-up, they were everywhere. In fact, some leather designers, such as Jennifer Tattanelli, commented that many of her tall boots were sold out already, as the season started in June and women were fulfilling their footwear wardrobes with multiple shoe purchases early on. On the feet of most women, very stylishly worn were also sneakers and at the higher end boutiques, platforms were rising in importance (no pun intended!).
