Tootsies Unveils Blue-Themed Windows benefiting Medical staffs in our city

Tootsies has taken a fashionable stand to show its support for the medical personnel and first responders in our city through its TOOTSIES GOES BLUE, “Blue Heroes” campaign, through visually enhancing all of its exterior store windows in shades of blue in addition to donating a portion of sales to the local organization, “Greater Houston Community Foundation Covid 19 Recovery Fund“, that distributes much needed dollars to benefit front line workers in the various local medical facilities. Tootsies is using the hashtags #TootsiesGoesBlue and #HealthCareHeroes.

Tootsies exterior windows which have always been a marvel to look at and enjoy due to its awesome creativity and very tasty merchandise, have regularly rotated every 6-8 weeks always reflecting the latest fashion trends or themes. Tootsies owner Norman Lewis and Creative Director, Fady Armanious wanted the outside of the store to display the compassion and gratitude they and the rest of the Tootsies team feel for those serving all of us in the medical community daily.

In selecting the blue merchandise to be featured, Armanious has opted for casual items that their customers are gravitating to as they continue their staying at home. The type of items that it should be noted that Fady features in his weekly Zoom Happy Hour. Fridays at 4 pm have become a fun, themed, afternoon get together of many Tootsies customers who, as I can support as a regular attendee are delighted to be together, stay connected and shop all of the great merchandise while chillin’ with a cocktail in their own homes…..something that Armanious has said will continue even after the May 1st reopening of the store.

So stay tuned and get ready to shop as Tootsies as they begin the next phase of the new normal by opening to walk-in shoppers this Friday, May 1 from 11-4 Monday – Saturday, committed to following all of the health requirements by our state and local government. Incentive to shop……dollars to our committed first responders that deserve our assistance!!

Every day, Memorial Hermann employees are there for our community, providing the highest quality care for everyone who needs it. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, many of our co-workers are making tremendous personal sacrifices to be at work, while still playing an important role at home. Please consider showing your appreciation to the healthcare heroes with a gift to provide a meal to take home to their families. Your gift will feed a frontline family, while helping Houstonians in the restaurant community during this difficult time.  Each gift of $50 will provide a meal for 4, purchased from various restaurants across the Greater Houston community. Together we can support our frontline workers and those impacted in the restaurant industry.

Restaurants supporting this event with Memorial Hermman Foundation are: Piatto Ristorante, Sylvia’s Enchilada Kitchen, Ciro’s, Killen’s BBQ, Churrascos, Tris, Amedeos, BB’s Tex Orleans and Dish Society.
