The Houston Ice Storm That Wasn’t

The biggest news of the week, after following the end-of-week ice fears of the city and the country was that Houston was headed for an even worse time on Tuesday….schools, city & businesses announced closings but all for naught.  Got to love Mother Nature, especially in this town where it was in the 20’s early in week and mid-70’s this weekend.  However, weather, even some icey roads, doesn’t stop this event-loving town from following through with their evening plans as best they can.  Here are some of the highlights that I just couldn’t miss!

A Look Ahead

Our friends at Cakewalk Style, Gina Cartwright & Jennifer Grigsby have asked myself and Julie Bortnick to host the preview party to their new location opening up down the road on Westheimer, just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Please save the date of February 12th in the evening when we will be there to show you around, help style the perfect Valentine look for you to either wear for yourself or purchase a treat for someone special. For those unfamiliar, this little fashion treasure has been existing up above on Persa Street and carries the likes of haute contemporary vendors such as:  Tibi, Haute Hippie, Vince, Halston Heritage, Elizabeth & James and Denim from JBrand, Current Elliott, Mother and many more. Plus with the move to the new, plush space they will be adding collections such as Baldwin Denim and Eberjey Lingerie, just in time for V-Day! (10% of entire day’s purchases benefit American Heart Association!)
