Mark Your Calendars, Hurricane Relief Benefit at Miller Outdoor Theatre 9/27

There are so many benefits that we are hearing about daily from all of the wonderful people of Houston continuing to take care of their own in their usual loving way that has been the most heartwarming aspect of our recent tragedy.  This one is an addition  that is being presented by our wonderful Fine Arts Community this coming week.  Please plan to attend or if not, see below how you can give!  Please support our Arts and their efforts to do their part…..

Theater District Houston presents “Houston Strong: A Theater District Benefit Honoring Local Heroes” on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017, at 8:00 PM at Miller Outdoor Theatre.

The evening will include free performances by seven of the Theater District’s resident companies: Alley Theatre, Da Camera of Houston, Houston Ballet, Houston Grand Opera, Houston Symphony, Society for the Performing Arts and Theatre Under The Stars.

The benefit’s wide-ranging program will include George Balanchine’s Symphony in C, performed by the Houston Ballet; a special appearance by Houston native Jason Moran, presented by Da Camera; a performance of “Make Our Garden Grow” from Candide, presented by Houston Grand Opera; and much more.

Donations to the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund will be accepted on-site during the event, online at www.ghcf.org or by texting HARVEY2017 to 91999. Contributions are tax-deductible and will go toward relief for victims affected by the recent floods.
