Hello all! It’s Vicheka here. As someone who enjoys exploring the latest coffeeshops – and/ or to use as a work space, reading nook, etc – here are some recent discoveries! From Galleria area to Upper Kirby to Downtown, add these hotspots to check out for your caffeine fix!
1. Luce Ave Coffee Roasters – Right next to Thai Cottage at 3995 Richmond Ave b, Houston, TX 77027
The newest coffee shop addition to the Greenway/Upper Kirby area is Luce Ave. Coffee Roasters. They serve a variety of coffee, breakfast sandwiches, desserts, and little round “pies” with flavors such as Mango Guava, Banana Foster, and Tiramisu.

2. Merchant – 1707 Post Oak Blvd, Houston, TX 77056
A popular breakfast spot from New Orleans. They serve a variety of items from breakfast to lunch to dinner. Breakfast items include sandwiches such as the Buon Giorno, the Fig’ama’jig, and scones including Lemon Blueberry. Lunch/Dinner include sweet and savory crepes, salads, and soups. They also have desserts such as crepe cakes, cookies, and cheesecake. Drinks include Illy coffee, wine, and beer.

3. Prelude Coffee & Tea – 609 Main. St. Houston, Texas, TX 77002
Coffee bar/ espresso bar that just opened yesterday ( September 19th). They are located in the lobby of “609 Main’s southeast corner at Fannin and Capitol”. Serving a variety of coffee and including new drinks such as the Tumeric Chai and Matcha Latte. There will be donuts from MorningStar and bites such as kolaches, biscuits, and breakfast sandwiches. There are also vegetarian/ vegan options on the menu as well.
