Let’s celebrate Taco Tuesday Texas-Style, that means with a Big bang! From home-made to food trucks to fast food, this Mexican dish that consists of a corn or flour tortilla wrapped with a filling has been a hit since forever! Vicheka here and for this Tuesday, I wanted to share a few taco shops around town that are worth checking out!

FUSION TACO

Fusion once started out as a food truck but eventually expanded into a brick + mortar. Their first location is in Downtown, and the MRG Team had a chance to endulge at the second location that just opened this year is in the Heights. Made with ingredients and spices of South America and Pan-Asian, they aim to satisfy even the most complex palettes. There are also a variety of gluten-free and vegan items made from organic ingredients.

They have Happy Hour from 4:00-7:00pm Monday- Friday and now offer a special Brunch Menu! including $15 pitchers and Brunch tacos such as  Eggs Benedict and Fried Avocado .

Taco of the Day : Palak Paneer Taco

Grilled “Thai” Chicken ( Roz’s personal favorite),  Tempura Local Shrimp, and Smoked Brisket.

LIBERTY TACO 

Flavorful Tacos with a twist.  Liberty Taco is less than 5 minutes away from the Galleria. They offer a variety of tacos from Vegetarian to Seafood to Pork. Thai Basil, Honey Chipotle Rib, Kogi, and  Baja Fish are just a handful of tasty tacos that you can grab while you’re waiting out on traffic along  610 and 59. They also serve breakfast tacos such as Texas Brisket, egg, and cheese and Chorizo, egg, and cheese, as  well as quesadillas in a variety of meat options.

TACODELI

The infamous TacoDeli has finally landed in Houston, coming from Austin. Known for their speciality sauces. They are conscious about the food that they serve, using products from local and organic farmers. They use high quality meat (including HeartBrand ground  beef and hangar steak) and antibiotic-free chickens that are fed all vegetarian diet, and organic eggs. For vegetarians, they have a variety of tacos that are sure to satiate your palate. And for those who are gluten-free, there is a menu that will fit your diet ( including organic corn tortillas). Lastly, their famous award-winning salsa includes salsa doña, salsa verde, habanero, and etc.
