The Ballroom at Tanglewood was the setting for the Houston Symphony League’s Third Annual Conversation with an ICON Luncheon! This year’s ICONS were the power women of our city, Shelby Hodge of PaperCity Magazine and Donna Vallone of Tony’s. The luncheon was held at the Ballroom at Tanglewood on Tuesday, March 21, 2023. Ms. Hodge and Ms. Vallone with the leadership of Moderator, Leisa Holland Nelson Bowman held conversations about interesting people, exciting places, and memorable events that have occurred in Houston over past decades. This event was guaranteed to be fun, engrossing, and informative, and you get to listen in!
This event not only represent a fun afternoon with lots of great stories from our honorees but also supports the Symphony’s Education and Community Engagement. These programs serve more than 200,000 people across Greater Houston through free and low-cost programming, including students from 26 area school districts, as well as patients, their families, and caregivers at Texas Medical Center hospitals participating in the Symphony’s Music and Wellness program.
