What a great night it was…..after much anticipation and hearing Ben speak of his newest and very special project, which he oversaw with exacting detail, Turner’s was finally here. The night was March 11 and Karen and Kevin Henry, along with Ben hosted a preview evening for it newly opened Turner’s. For me, it was the night before a big luncheon I was chairing the next day so I was only able to drop by but wouldn’t miss it. Wow, we were so impressed, it was exactly as Ben had described it and was going to be something that this city was going to love! None of us could have anticipated then what the next few days would be like that would be a life-changer for all of us.

Turner’s table spacing has now been modified for reopening to reflect CDC guidelines while keeping its clubby atmosphere

Turner’s, located at 1800 Post Oak Blvd. with its entrance on Ambassador Way, adjacent but separate from The Annie Cafe & Bar, Berg’s exclusive dining and social establishment exudes old-world charm while offering a blend of elegant service and classic American and Continental cuisine crafted by Executive Chef Robert Del Grande. This dining experience in its club-like atmosphere, complete with a Grand piano playing soft dining and socializing music each evening, is back now as a great respite for many in our city that barely got to visit before lockdown.

Ben and his team, including Robert Del Grande and Sam Governale have assured us that in its reopening which began on May 7, all CDC guidelines are being met. Uppermost standards of hygiene are being maintained and most siginificantly social distancing is happening through an expansion of spacing of tables and all wait staff are wearing masks and gloves in servicing its clientele. Yes, things are different there right now from the night we celebrated its opening but the modifications are there and it’s great to look back 60 days to how things were and looking forward to a return to that revelry in the not too distant future.

  1. Thank you for keeping us in the loop. I have not gone to restaurants inside yet. Hope you and your family are well.

    Be safe and be well

    1. Thanks Franelle, I haven’t gone inside yet but have gone to open restaurants and eaten on patios and it is nice to get out and see friends. On the Turner, I wanted people to know about it because it opened just days before shutdown and when you are ready it really is a special place……stay safe and stay well!! Miss seeing you!
