Kate Spade Brings a Flagship Store to Houston

Feature for Blog

Immediately upon walking into the new Kate Spade (flagship) store in Highland Village, you are transported to a very colorful, feminine, beautiful place. Julie Bortnick here today to tell you all about the ultra fabulous new Kate Spade store here in town. Unfortunately, Roz and I were both unable to make it to the grand opening party, so I made my way over the other day, and let me tell you, it was worth the wait. It’s no surprise that this store is full of bright colors, elegant decor, and tip top merchandising, but I was still in awe. The theme this year for Kate Spade is ‘Travel Destinations,’ and each month throughout the rest of 2014 is a different place. March is Capri, and with all of the bright yellow pieces, and luxurious ensembles, had I not seen the construction outside, Capri wouldn’t have seemed too far.

Along with clothing, bags, sunglasses, and shoes, there is also a home department, bridal section of the store, a small beauty area, and much more (including a VIP dressing room). I was extremely overwhelmed (in a good way) walking through the store because everywhere I turned something else caught my eye.

It’s very exciting that Kate Spade chose Houston for its second flagship location (the first being in New York, and the third will be going to Rodeo Drive). It’s a glamorous store full of sophisticated, stylish girly details. It truly is a shopping destination.
