The Women’s Fund 10th Annual Rockin’ Resilliency Luncheon Goes Virtual

Be a part of this always exciting luncheon in the comfort of your own home Sunday, November 1 at 12:30 p.m.

Always a not-to-miss on the luncheon circuit since its inception 10 years ago The Women’s Fund for Health Education and Resiliency, along with Luncheon Chairs Christine and Steve Johnson, are hosting the 10th Annual Rockin’ Resiliency Luncheon as a virtual celebration, joining the ranks of others who are putting safety first in our community. The event on SundayNovember 12020, is at 12:30 p.m. and allows its guest and supporters to participate in the comfort of their home.

KTRK- ABC13’s Gina Gaston will emcee the luncheon and welcome guests along with girls and women who participate in The Women’s Fund’s Health Education programs to a fun-filled afternoon featuring entertainment by American Idol Season 12 Finalist Vincent Powell and President of H-E-B Food/Drug Store Scott McClelland as the keynote speaker. An education session for women and girls alike will focus on a trending topic. Guests will be able to participate in the online silent auction and baubles and bubbles champagne raffle for a chance to win a $5,000 gift card. Raffle tickets are limited, and a bottle of champagne will be available for pick up prior to the luncheon with each raffle entry. During the luncheon, The Women’s Fund will recognize Edna Meyer-Nelson as the recipient of the Sue Trammell Whitfield Award for Resiliency and Dr. Kathleen Schmeler as the recipient of the John P. McGovern Foundation Champion in Women’s Health Award

For 41 years, The Women’s Fund has educated girls and women in the Houston area through classes, workshops, lectures and publications that teach resiliency skills and relate those skills to current health risks. Dedicated to ensuring positive health outcomes for individuals and communities, The Women’s Fund serves close to 12,000 women and adolescent girls and distributes 9,913 publications each year.
