Talbot Runhof Spring 2014 Collection Closes Out Night 1 of Fashion Houston on a High Note!

After seeing this splendid collection last night at Fashion Houston, I was thrilled to know that I had chat time with them today at their trunk show and personal appearance at Neiman Marcus Galleria.  The two men, Johnny Talbot, a native of  Nashville, Tennessee and Adrian Runhof, of Munich, Germany have been making great women’s clothing together  for about 20 years now, showing regularly at Paris Fashion Week.  When I honestly confessed that I was not familiar with their collection prior to the show, Runhof, laughingly said that’s just how they like it…..keeping themselves right under the radar.  My response, “why when you have such great clothes to show?”

The following are a sample of the most memorable pieces for me….their entire black & white story which featured lots of geometric prints, some of them woven to the point of actually being 3-D, says Rubhof. The finale above which led with softest pales of blue and yellow and below, my favorites, the boldness of black & white done with a different twist shows the essence of contrast that is this collection.

From Fashion Houston’s Runway styles…..a sampling of the 32 Houston styles of their collection of 200…

One of my favorite combinations of the collection…white, champagne and black color blocking takes a different approach.  Note the contrasting sleeve treatments on both dresses……loved this!!!
