NYX Cosmetics opened its second store in Houston last week in Houston Galleria
This past week was an exciting one for all the beauty fanatics in Houston: the new NYX Professional Makeup freestanding store was having their grand opening within The Galleria Mall in Houston. Recently, a select group of bloggers were invited to get a first look inside the store and shop their line of quality, affordable make-up while enjoying champagne and light bites. I was unable to attend and asked My Red Glasses Beauty Contributor, Nicole Kestenbaum of Lipstick & Brunch to cover it for us and fill me in on what all we missed and she did just that!
From Nicole: The store is a make-up lovers dream, filled from ceiling to floor with an array of lipsticks, eyeliners, mascaras, foundations and even skincare products that we had not seen in other retailers where the brand was sold like Target and Ulta. This is NYX’s second store in Houston, the first one successfully opened last year in The Woodlands.
Besides housing every single cult favorite NYX make-up product you already love, the store also has revolutionary areas like the Beauty Bar (think glam-station with mirrors where you can get your make-up done), an interactive make-up station, a Lip Bar and a Shadow Bar where you can create your own custom shadow palettes.
A celebrity blogger sighting happened when YouTube vlogger extraordinaire Rose from Make-Up By Rose (aka @roseandben on Instagram and with 373k followers and counting!) showed up with her cute pup Dougie. I was admittedly fangirling myself!
Other Houston bloggers in attendance were Brighter Darling, Live Life in Style, New Mom in a New Era, Beauty and The Binky, Val Around Town, Urban Swank, It’s Pam Del, Crafty Thrifter and The Style Lynn Life.
NYX Professional Make-up is had their grand opening weekend that started Thursday, April 13 through Saturday, April 15. They are promised the first 200 people in line each day a free brush cup with a chance to win a $1,000 shopping spree and other prizes. You also received a free mini train case with your $75 purchases (while supplies lasted).
On Friday April 14th you had the chance to meet @LeighAnnSays at 5pm that required a wristband to enter. (Would have loved to have made that to see Leigh Ann, one of our former interns and a pride-n-joy!) On Saturday, April 15 Bunny most popularly known as @Grav3YardGirl hosted a meet and greet at 12pm which was limited to the first 200 guests with wristbands.
